Some homes stop you in your tracks. Not because they're grand or expensive, but because they feel exactly right. Calm. Considered. Like they were made for the people who live in them.
That's what we build at Jewel Design Studio.
We're an interior design studio based in East London, working with homeowners across London and the South East who want a home that works as beautifully as it looks. Our approach is practical and personal — we get to know how you actually live before we touch a single thing. Then we design around that.
We believe good design shouldn't be intimidating. It should solve problems, create calm, and make everyday life a little more enjoyable. Every project we take on — whether it's a single room or a whole home — is guided by the same principle: a home should feel right the moment you walk through the door.
We have a strong preference for natural materials — timber, stone, linen, plaster — things that age well and feel honest. Sustainability matters to us, not in a preachy way, but in the choices we make: durable finishes over disposable ones, quality over quantity, materials that get better with time rather than worse.

Ben Selby
I've always cared more about homes than most people. Renovating my own spaces over the years, I kept finding myself going further, trying harder, getting things wrong and trying again until they felt right. Eventually I stopped pretending that was normal and turned it into a career.
I founded Jewel Design Studio to build something different — a studio that's as down to earth and pragmatic as it is creative. One that helps people who are overwhelmed find clarity, and turns complicated projects into something manageable and exciting.
I live in Walthamstow with my wife and daughter. On Fridays I don't work — I look after her instead. They are the best days.
